SAVOURY and sweet delectable treats, gifts, warm wishes and all things nice is how Christmas should be.
While this Yuletide season may be a little toned down for some, there is no reason why the holidays should be any less festive as long as all the right ingredients are in place.
Being among family or friends, fairy lights shining bright on the Christmas tree, presents wrapped in festive-themed wrappers and mouth-watering food are central to any festive occasion.

Executive pastry chef Gael Moutet said the “To the North Pole” promotion was built around the idea of giving diners the chance to have a quick getaway from everything that has happened this year.
“Travel has always been an integral part of the festive season. “Together with our team, we built a walk-in Santa’s Kitchen and a sleigh to house all of our homemade goodies in the lobby, ” he said, adding that the space was popular with customers capturing the moment through their lenses as well as those looking to take home the Limited Edition Festive Trunks.
Moutet said the kitchens are at full capacity to meet requests for cakes, chocolates, homemade spreads and roasts for guests celebrating in the comfort of their homes.
Santa’s Kitchen is a treasure trove of decadent finds with log cakes, pastries, chocolates, cookies, The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur’s Signature Christmas Stollen, homemade Gingerbread Cookies with 35% Valrhona Milk Gianduja Chocolate, Wild Raspberry Jam and Peanut Butter spreads, and Teh Tarik and Calamansi Valrhona Chocolate Bars.
He said festive meals will be served to diners in observing the government’s standard operating procedure during the movement control order.
The Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner and Christmas Day Brunch are priced at RM418+ per person (food only) and RM598+ per person with free-flow of sparkling wine, red and white wine and cocktails.
On Dec 25, carollers will sing Christmas classics for that complete festive experience.
For something lighter, head to The Drawing Room for its Festive Afternoon Tea priced at RM158+ per person and RM248+ per person with a glass of Delamotte.
A variety of decadent treats including must-have warm scones with clotted cream, homemade jam and savoury canapes await.
The afternoon tea experience is available until Dec 31.
Year-end festivities are known to stretch on and revellers can close the 2020 chapter with an elegant meal at The Brasserie.
The New Year’s Eve Buffet Dinner on Dec 31 is priced at RM588+ per person, and RM788+ per person with free-flowing sparkling wine, red and white wine and cocktails.
