Brunei teacher wins global AI innovation award


 

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Brunei has made a major achievement in artificial intelligence (AI) innovation after a school teacher was named one of the winners of the Innovate for Impact Awards at the AI for Good Global Summit 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland.

In a press release issued on Thursday, Brunei's Authority for Infocommunications Technology Industry said the award recognizes the country's growing contributions to AI-driven innovation with global impact.

The winning project, ChemBuddy Supreme+, was developed by Zadil Hayat Haji Kassim.

The AI-powered educational platform is designed to provide personalized and inclusive learning experiences for students studying chemistry. -- XINHUA
