Brunei to enhance partnership with UNDP


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Xinhua): Brunei is strengthening its partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to deliver future-ready, sustainable and inclusive growth in line with Brunei Vision 2035 and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah, Brunei minister at the Prime Minister's Office and second minister of finance and economy, said during a meeting with Kanni Wignaraja, United Nation Assistant Secretary-General and UNDP Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, that actions to diversify the economy, climate adaptation strategies, and skills development programs will ensure inclusive and sustainable national growth.

With UNDP's assistance, Brunei aims to stay on course to deliver on the government's stated objectives, ensuring Brunei remains peaceful and its people continue to enjoy rising standards of well-being, the minister said. - Xinhua
