FAIRE Development Sdn Bhd (Faire) is optimistic that demand for landed properties in Johor, especially in Iskandar Malaysia, remains exceptionally strong.
Its managing director Kenneth Lim said the Johor property market is vibrant, driven by the progress and development taking place in the southernmost state in the peninsular.
“Demand for landed properties in Iskandar Malaysia is driven by the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) and the Johor Baru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link,’’ he said in an interview.
Lim said this at the signing of the sale and purchase agreement (SPA) between the developer and buyers of its second project located in Iskandar Puteri on Saturday (June 6).
The bée project, inspired by “Be Easy, Enjoy” on a 23.9ha site, is located just a few metres away from Faire Development sales gallery at No.1, Jalan Horizon Perdana 4, Horizon Hills, Johor Baru, Johor.
He said Iskandar Puteri is the most sought-after location when it comes to landed properties within the country’s first economic corridor, Iskandar Malaysia launched on November 4, 2006.
Chief executive officer Richard Woon said the take-up rate for the international lots of the bée project is around 85% since its launch in June 2025, with expected completion in the second-quarter of 2028.
The gated and guarded project comprises of 56 units of 20ft by 65ft double-storey-terrace houses priced from RM888,000 each, 66 units of three-storey semi-detached houses (35ft by 80ft) from RM1.988mil, and 112 units of three-storey cluster houses (32ft by 75ft) with the price tag from RM1.568mil.
Also in the offering are 93 units of 20ft by 70ft and 176 units of 22ft by 70ft double-storey terrace houses with the price tags from RM978,000 and RM1.088mil respectively.

“Iskandar Puteri is one of Johor’s property hot spots due to its strategic location, and it is near top-tier schools, healthcare facilities, retail and recreation centres,’’ said Woon.
He said 90% of the buyers were locals, half of them were Johoreans and the other half were locals from other states, and Singaporeans made up 10% of the foreign buyers.
Woon added that the profile of the buyers includes locals working in Singapore, first-time house owners, the newly married and young families.
“Buying interest especially for landed houses remains strong and healthy within the Iskandar Puteri Growth Corridor, as buyers see good growth prospects of the area,’’ he said.
Woon added that the strong selling point of the bée project was its location and cross proximity with the Second Link Crossing in Tanjung Kupang, Gelang Patah.
Chief strategic officer Louis Tee said the project is also strategically located within the JS-SEZ in Iskandar Puteri, making it a good buy for owner-occupiers and investors.
Iskandar Puteri is one of the five flagship development zones and a key component of the Iskandar Malaysia economic corridor.

The other four flagship zones are the Johor Baru City Centre, Western Gate Development, Eastern Gate Development and Senai-Skudai.
He said that the company was not totally disturbed by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East region, as there were still buyers out there who can afford to buy a big-ticket item like a house.
“We are dealing with buyers who have the financial capability and affordability to buy their dream houses regardless of the situation,’’ said Tee, adding that the 85% of the take-up rate reflected the buyer’s confidence in the company.
