CHINESE New Year is often portrayed through scenes of bustling homes, loud laughter, and grand celebrations for large family gatherings. 

Yet for some, the season unfolds more quietly, shaped by familiar routines, and moments of togetherness that are equally meaningful.

This quieter reality sits at the heart of Zurich Malaysia’s latest Chinese New Year film, which offers an intimate take on the festive season by focusing on the everyday expressions of care that define connection.  

Rather than centring on spectacle, the film turns its attention to a couple celebrating at home, capturing how the spirit of Chinese New Year can be found in calm, personal moments.

As the distant sound of lion dances fills the air, the story unfolds within their home, where they make meals together, share snacks with neighbours, and spend the evening watching television. 

These scenes serve as a reminder that love and connection don’t always need to be loud and extravagant to be profound.

“Chinese New Year is a time to reconnect, reflect, and celebrate with those who matter most,” said Zurich Malaysia brand marketing and communications head Erin Hwang.

“For some, it’s about lively family reunions; for others, it’s the quiet, meaningful moments spent at home. This film highlights the idea that care doesn’t always have to be loud or grand.

“At Zurich Malaysia, we are committed to Caring For What Matters, ensuring that every moment, no matter how small, is protected and valued. 

“It’s the simple acts of love and presence that truly makes a difference.”

The film invites viewers to look beyond the scale of the celebration and consider the moments that matter most to them. 

Through its gentle storytelling, it draws attention to the simple acts of togetherness that define the festive season, reminding audiences that meaningful connection often unfolds in the calm of everyday life.

Extending this spirit of care beyond the screen, Zurich Malaysia is also partnering with 988 FM and Suria FM for a festive radio crossover in February, sharing joyful conversations and inviting everyone to celebrate Chinese New Year through simple connections. 

Together with 988 FM, interactive giveaways will also be available online. 

Alongside these initiatives, Zurich Malaysia is rolling out a series of festive campaigns that reward customers while supporting their everyday needs. 

Through the Ride to Gold Campaign, customers can earn gold rewards with the purchase of selected Zurich Life and Family Takaful products. 

In addition, Zurich Malaysia is offering a complimentary vehicle inspection campaign to support safer journeys during the festive season. Both campaigns will run until the end of March 2026.
