Avaland builds healthier communities and future-ready talent

The REHDA Institute Youth Initiative (RIYI) Programme was launched by Transport Minister Anthony Loke (eighth from left) on Jan 15, 2026. Also present were REHDA president Datuk Ho Hon Sang (eighth from right), FAR Capital chief executive officer Faizul Ridzuan (seventh from right), Progressture Solar chief executive officer Cliff Siaw (sixth from right), REHDA Institute chairman Datuk Jeffrey Ng Tiong Lip (seventh from left), Avaland Strategic Planning director David Aw Seng Chong (sixth from left), Feruni Ceramiche Sdn Bhd chief commercial officer Roger Ong (fifth from left), as well as university lecturers and student mentees.

PROPERTY developer Avaland continues to strengthen its commitment to community well-being in 2026, with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives anchored on two key pillars; expanding access to preventive healthcare and empowering youth through mentorship and industry exposure.

In its third year of partnership with the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Malaysia, Avaland continues to broaden the reach of its nationwide community health screening programme.

In 2026, the programme targets over 5,000 complimentary health screenings at Avaland sales galleries and all NKF dialysis centres nationwide.

These screenings focus on the early detection of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), supporting timely intervention and improved health outcomes, particularly for communities with limited access to regular health checks.

In addition to community screenings, Avaland is equipping all NKF dialysis centres across Malaysia with ECG and Oxygen Saturation (SPO2) monitoring devices, enhancing patient care and strengthening early detection and monitoring capabilities for individuals undergoing dialysis treatment.

Through sustained partnerships with NKF Malaysia, Avaland reaffirms its commitment to contributing positively to community well-being, ensuring preventive healthcare is accessible to a wider population and reinforcing the Group’s ongoing focus on community well- being nationwide.

Complementing its health-screening programme, Avaland remains committed to nurturing Malaysia’s next generation of industry-ready talent through its collaboration with the Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association (REHDA) Youth Institute on the REHDA Institute Youth Initiative (RIYI) Programme.

This year-long programme bridges academic learning with real-world industry experience, equipping students and young talents with practical knowledge, career readiness and exposure to the property and built environment sectors.

Developed in collaboration with the RIYI and key educators, the initiative engages top students from renowned universities across the country.

Combining industry exposure, practical learning and career development, the programme equips students with leadership skills and prepares them to contribute confidently and effectively to the industry.

Avaland contributes both sponsorship in kind and dedicated time, combining industry exposure, practical learning and career development opportunities.

Through this comprehensive programme, students build leadership skills and are prepared to contribute confidently and effectively to the industry.

Through sustained partnerships with NKF Malaysia and the REHDA Institute, Avaland reaffirms its commitment to creating lasting social impact, extending its role beyond property development to champion healthier communities and empower the next generation of talent.
