Shuttler Liek Hou stakes claim for Paralympics gold

PETALING JAYA: Shuttler Cheah Liek Hou has underlined his Paralympic gold medal credentials in Tokyo next year by emerging triumphant at the Japan Para-badminton International meet in emphatic fashion.

The 31-year-old Liek Hou outplayed Indonesian top seed Suryo Nugroho 21-16,21-17 in the SU5 (impairment in upper body) men’s singles final at the National Stadium in Yoyogi, Tokyo, yesterday.
