Aaron-Wooi Yik send top South Korean pair crashing to reach Denmark Open final

PETALING JAYA: Former world champions Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik stormed their way into the Denmark Open men's doubles final on Saturday (Oct 17), delivering a commanding straight-games victory over top-seeded South Koreans Kim Won-ho-Seo Seung-jae.

The Malaysian duo, currently ranked fourth in the world, triumphed 21-14, 21-18 in 38 minutes at the Jyske Bank Arena in Odense.

This victory marks their second consecutive final appearance, following a runner-up finish at the World Championships in India in August, where they also defeated the world No. 1 Korean pair in the semi-finals.

Fourth seed Aaron-Wooi Yik will now look to capture the title, which was also their first World Tour title together in 2023, in Sunday’s (Oct 18) final.

They await the winner of the semi-final match between Indonesia's third-seeded Fajar Alfian-Muhammad Rian Ardianto, and China's second-seeded Liang Weikeng-Wang Chang
