A CLAIM circulating on social media alleges that Melaka Sentral has been operating without air-conditioning for more than three months, raising concerns among commuters and traders who use the terminal daily.
For anyone who has ever waited for a bus in Malaysia's heat, the prospect of a terminal without working air-conditioning is a grim one indeed.
But has Melaka Sentral really been without air-conditioning for that long?
Verdict:

FALSE
Melaka Sentral Sdn Bhd (MSSB) has denied that the terminal has been operating without air-conditioning for more than three months, calling the claim inaccurate, as reported by Bernama.
General manager Zulhafni Md Rahis said records and monitoring showed that the temperature inside the terminal remained under control.
He said MSSB regularly monitors and maintains the air-conditioning system to ensure the comfort of visitors and smooth terminal operations.
MSSB said it remained open to complaints and feedback from traders and visitors regarding comfort and facilities at the terminal.
Complaints can be submitted through complaint forms provided at the terminal or via the Public Complaints Management System (SISPAA), with feedback provided within 10 working days.
Zulhafni urged the public to seek clarification from management before making statements about the terminal's operations and facilities.
"We are always open to complaints and feedback from traders and visitors regarding comfort and facilities at the terminal," said Zulhafni.
MSSB said it remained committed to ensuring the terminal's facilities and services were well maintained for users' comfort and safety.
