A VIRAL video clip has been circulating on social media showing what appears to be two women making off with a gold bracelet from a jewellery shop in Kuala Terengganu.
The footage, lasting just over a minute, captures a brazen theft technique that has left many viewers stunned by its audacity.
But did it really happen the way the clip suggests?

Two women were caught on CCTV stealing a gold bracelet worth approximately RM16,000 from a jewellery shop in Batu 8, Kampung Batu Enam, Kuala Terengganu, as reported by Sinar Harian.
The theft was discovered by a shop worker during a stock check, who found that a 916 solid two-princess chain bracelet weighing 28.01 grams had gone missing.
CCTV footage reviewed by police showed the two women entering the shop, with one asking a worker to show her several gold bracelets for comparison.
The suspect then tried on one of the bracelets before concealing it under her sleeve.
She subsequently dropped the bracelet onto the floor, stamped on it, then retrieved it and slipped it into her handbag.
At the same time, the second suspect distracted the shop worker by pointing to other gold bracelets, preventing her from noticing what her accomplice was doing.
Both women then left the shop on the pretext of retrieving money to make payment and did not return.
Kuala Terengganu District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Azli Mohd Noor said the shop received a report about the incident at 10.25pm on Thursday (Aug 13).
"The first suspect was wearing a grey jubah, black tudung and black purdah, while the second suspect was wearing a dark blue jubah and a floral blue tudung," said Azli.
A shop worker was able to identify the second suspect but was unable to identify the first suspect as her face was covered.
A one-minute-and-21-second CCTV clip of the incident subsequently went viral on social media, showing the technique the two women used to conceal the bracelet before leaving the premises.
