Are scammers looking to cheat scam victims a second time by offering services online to reclaim money lost to scams?

VERDICT:

TRUE

Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) acting director Comm Datuk Muhammad Hasbullah Ali said that police had detected an advertisement on social media promoting services to reclaim money lost to scams.

In a statement on Saturday (May 17), the advertisement also uses the PDRM crest and logo, he said.

“The CCID has no connections to the advertisement. The services offered are false and a scam.

“The public is advised to always stay vigilant and not to fall for such offers,” he said.
