QuickCheck: Did a large street brawl in Sentul end in arrests?


A VIDEO of a chaotic street fight in Sentul has been making the rounds on social media, and it is not hard to see why it went viral.

The footage showed a large group of people scuffling along a busy road in broad daylight, and Malaysians watching it had one question on their minds.

Did this Sentul street brawl actually happen and did anyone get arrested?

Verdict:

TRUE

Police have confirmed the incident and made arrests following the circulation of the video.

Sentul deputy officer in charge of police district Supt Jasni Zolpa confirmed that the incident occurred within the Sentul Police jurisdiction and that a report had been lodged.

"The incident occurred within the jurisdiction area of Sentul Police and a report on the matter was lodged," Jasni said. "As of now four suspects have been arrested and the incident is still under investigation."

The video, which ran for one minute and 29 seconds, showed several people scuffling and arguing along a road, with one man seen being chased before falling to the ground while several women were seen running in and out of frame.
