A VIDEO on Threads showing an express bus driver apparently attempting to open a plastic packet and pour liquid into a bottle while behind the wheel has raised serious concerns about passenger safety.
The 22-second clip, recorded by a passenger on board, spread quickly on social media and has since caught the attention of police.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident following the circulation of the viral video which was uploaded on Thursday (May 21).
Taiping district police chief ACP Abd Malek Ismail said the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division of the Taiping district police headquarters had received information regarding the video, which was recorded by one of the bus passengers before being uploaded on social media.
Initial checks found that the exact location of the incident had yet to be identified.
"Based on conversations in the comments section of the post, the account owner expressed concern that the incident occurred near the area after the Menora Tunnel, which posed a risk to passenger safety," ACP Abd Malek said in a statement.
ACP Abd Malek said police were also still tracing the bus company involved as well as the actual route taken by the bus.
He said the case could be investigated under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
"We urge members of the public, including the Threads account owner who uploaded the video, to come forward to assist in the investigation," he said, adding that efforts were underway to trace the account owner to obtain further information.
