SOCIAL media users reacted with outrage and dismay after a video clip of a roadside theft went viral on Thursday (May 21).
The clip shows two men on a motorcycle stopping at a nasi campur (mixed rice) stall.
One of them orders food and, while the seller is packing it, deftly makes off with her cash box and mobile phone.
According to the post, the incident occurred along Jalan Lebuh Meru Raya in Ipoh, Perak.

Bernama quotes Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Muhammad Najib Hamzah as saying that in the noon incident, the 21-year-old victim was approached by two men pretending to buy food.
"While the victim was packing rice, one suspect is believed to have stolen a cash box and a mobile phone belonging to the trader before fleeing on a motorcycle and heading towards the Meru Raya roundabout.
"The estimated total loss is approximately RM2,000," he said in a statement issued on Thursday night.
The incident also went viral on social media after a recording of the incident was uploaded and attracted the attention of netizens.
"Anyone with information on the incident should contact the Ipoh district police headquarters Operations Room at 05-2451500 or go to the nearest police station.
"The case is being investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft and we are tracking down the suspects involved," ACP Najib said.
Reactions on social media ranged from "They were blessed with healthy bodies yet chose to do such despicable acts" to "The victim chose hard work to earn a living while the thieves took the easy, lazy way."
Other users wished the suspects an untimely end under the wheels of a lorry, while some expressed sympathy to the victim for suffering a loss when all she wanted was to work hard and earn a living for herself and her dependants.
