Human-wildlife encounters remain a headache for many rural communities.
But when a massive predator is caught going after livestock, the situation turns from an inconvenience into a nightmare, requiring swift action from emergency responders.
Is it true that firefighters had to be called in after a large python entered a goat pen and swallowed one of the animals?
VERDICT:

True
Firefighters confirmed capturing a python weighing over 100 kilogrammes after it devoured a goat at Kampung Batu Papan on Monday (June 29).
Gua Musang Fire and Rescue Station chief Muhammad Azrul Izzham Zulkifli said the 15-foot-long reptile was caught while still inside the goat pen.
"The fire department received an emergency call at 10.33am on Monday, after which a fire engine with four personnel rushed to the scene.
"The snake was inside the pen after devouring a goat. It took about 10 minutes to capture the reptile," he said when contacted by reporters today.
The python was later handed over to the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) for further action.
