Recently, several offers of business financing have been made on social media using the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara)..

Are scammers misusing Mara's name to offer shady financing online?

In a post on its official social media channels, Mara said it was aware of such offers and stressed that it had never appointed any third party to promote and process any of Mara's business financing facilities.

"The public is advised to be careful and not share any private information or be fooled by irresponsible parties," it said in its post.

Mara also said that for the latest verified information, the public is advised to visit www.mara.com.my or its offical social media channel at https://www.facebook.com/MajlisAmanahRakyat.
