TRUE

The Terengganu Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) has launched an operation to capture an adult bear reported to be roaming near Kampung Keluang, Kampung Raja.

Its director, Dennis Ten Choon Yung, said the department received a complaint from villagers last Sunday (March 29) and immediately began an investigation.

"Our investigation confirmed the presence of an adult bear in the area, and we have installed traps at the site since Wednesday (April 1).

"Villagers informed us that they have encountered the animal several times, with some spotting it crossing the road while others saw it consuming 'kelulut' (stingless bee) honey belonging to residents," he said when contacted by Bernama.
