Did a naked man really bring traffic to a halt in Langkap?

Verdict:

TRUE

A 41-year-old man was arrested after behaving erratically and obstructing traffic while naked on Jalan Langkap-Chui Chak near Teluk Intan on Friday (April 3) at around 9.35pm.

Hilir Perak district police chief Assistant Commissioner Chua Kok Lian said the arrest was made following a video of the incident that had been shared on social media.

The man was taken to the Langkap police station before being referred to Teluk Intan Hospital for treatment and psychiatric evaluation.

"The police will ensure the safety of the people and also assist the individual to get the necessary treatment," he said in a statement on Saturday (April 4).

Chua urged the public not to share the video out of respect for the individual's dignity, and called on Malaysians to always be vigilant and channel accurate information to police to help maintain public safety.
