Recently, a video surfaced on social media depicting a brawl said to have erupted following a road accident in Klang, Selangor.

But did this heated incident take place, or is it just another example of online sensationalism?

Verdict:

TRUE

The police have confirmed the veracity of a viral video showing a fight involving several individuals following a road accident in Jalan Persiaran Klang Sentral.

"The police are aware of the viral video on social media," North Klang OCPD Asst Comm S. Vijaya Rao said in a statement on Wednesday (Sept 25).

He added that the video was first uploaded on Tuesday (Sept 24).

He added: "The police are conducting further investigations and a case file has been opened under Section 160 of the Penal Code (for affray)."

ACP Vijaya Rao advised the public to abide by the law, and not to engage in any illegal activities.

He said the incident served as a reminder to always maintain one's composure and be mindful of the law, even in stressful situations such as road accidents.
