CURIOSITY may have killed the cat but no one said anything about a cow. Recently, a video has been circulating on Tiktok of a poor cow who had gotten its head stuck in between two concrete posts on a veranda's fence.
The video ends with a young man slowly breaking off one of the fence posts with a hammer to try and help free the cow.
Did this video depict an actual turn of events and did it happen locally?

TRUE - on both counts
According to Malay language portal mStar.com.my, the incident happened in Gemencheh, Negri Sembilan on July 19.
The portal managed to get in touch with one of the residents at the house the incident took place in and he told them that this was not the first time the cow got snagged.
"It happened at my house. This was not the first time, but the last time she managed to free her head by herself," Izwan told mStar.
"This time however, she couldn't manage to free herself. It was like she was asking for help so I had to break one of the posts with a hammer."
According to Iwan, who is an excavator driver by trade, he initially only shared the video of the incident through Tiktok with his friends.
However, he said he wasn't expecting the surge of comments he got from the video when he shared it publicly. So far the video has received nearly half a million views.
"I didn't expect it to go viral, I usually just share videos with my friends," said Izwan.
