Xi and Mahathir confident China can battle Covid-19 virus

BEIJING (China Daily/ANN): China can minimise the impact of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic and maintain the country's momentum of economic development and work to achieve the goals and tasks for this year, President Xi Jinping assured Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

He made the remark in a phone conversation with the Dr Mahathir whom Xi described as an "old friend of the Chinese people", on Thursday (Feb 13) evening.
