PETALING JAYA: PAS expressed appreciation to the King of Malaysia for granting Datuk Seri Najib Razak a conditional pardon, saying the house arrest allows him to continue offering valuable ideas to the nation.
Party secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said this development is deeply meaningful not only to Najib’s family but to all Malaysians who remember him.
“It's to those who also appreciate his contributions and dedicated service as a leader who brought development to the nation and prosperity to the people,” he said in a statement on Sept 18.
“PAS further prays that Najib continues to be granted good health while serving the remainder of his sentence at home, and is confident that he can still contribute ideas, perspectives, and experience for the good of the country.
In a previous report, Najib is to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest until Aug 23, 2028, subject to the payment of a fine amounting to RM50mil.
