PAS leaders attend opening of Umno AGM


KUALA LUMPUR: PAS leaders attended the opening of the Umno Annual General Assembly (AGM) on Friday (Sept 11).

Among those seen were party vice-president Datuk Idris Ahmad, secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, Syahir Sulaiman, who is PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang’s political secretary, as well as PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari.

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and MIC president Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran were also present.

Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and Khairy Jamaluddin, who recently returned to the party, were also in attendance at the opening.

Umno’s Youth, Wanita, and Puteri Wings held their annual meetings on Thursday (Sept 10), with the general assembly scheduled to end on Saturday (Sept 12).
