PORT DICKSON: Early voting turnout for the Negri Sembilan state election reached 68.85% by noon on Tuesday (July 28), according to the Election Commission (EC).
The commission said 11,338 military and police personnel, along with their spouses, had cast their ballots by midday.
While there are about 22,000 personnel eligible for early voting in the state, only 16,467 will have to do so in person as the remainder have applied for postal votes.
Earlier on Tuesday, EC chairman Datuk Seri Ramlan Harun said early voter turnout is expected to reach 90%.
Polling day falls on Aug 1.
