PUTRAJAYA: Education reforms are necessary to prepare Malaysia for the future, but implementing change across the school system is never easy, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Addressing Education Ministry staff at the ministry's monthly assembly on Tuesday (July 28), Anwar said schools are at the centre of efforts to prepare students for new technologies and future challenges.
"When we talk about reaching for the skies while remaining grounded, it all begins with education," Anwar said.
He said exposing students to new technologies and new challenges may sound straightforward in policy, but implementation is far more demanding.
"It sounds simple in policy, but implementing it for hundreds of thousands of students and millions of children is challenging," he added.
