SPURNED by a woman who was not keen on his romantic advances, a 31-year-old man resorted to stabbing her multiple times at a public place, Malaysia Nanban reported.
The man known only as Chinnasamy worked at a private company in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu. He became infatuated with a woman who worked at a jewellery shop.
However, the woman rejected his advances and refused to speak to him.
Several days ago, while the woman waited at a bus stop after work, Chinnasamy approached her and tried to talk to her.
When she refused to respond, the man pulled out a knife and stabbed her repeatedly in the neck and stomach.
He attempted to run away, but bystanders who witnessed the attack caught him and gave him a thrashing.
Others rushed the victim to the hospital where she underwent emergency surgery and remains in serious condition.
