‘Teach You a Lesson’ star started from rock bottom

SOUTH Korean actor Kim Mu-yeol, the star of the Netflix hit Teach You a Lesson, once earned a mere annual income of 200,000 won (RM534), Sin Chew Daily reported.

He described the days before he found fame as one the most difficult times in his life.

Kim, 44, spoke about his early days during an appearance on a variety show, recounting his financial hardship.

Despite having debuted over 20 years ago and appearing in numerous productions, he said he had always struggled to achieve mainstream recognition.

But Kim said he never let a single opportunity slip by, holding onto hope of one day being noticed.

His hard work has finally paid off, cementing his status as one of the industry’s most sought-after actors.

CCTV footage circulating on the social media platform Threads shows two men and a woman slipping into the lobby of Hang Wai Industrial Centre one morning and ransacking postboxes.

In the footage, a woman wearing glasses, a face mask and flip-flops can be seen using a pair of chopsticks to fish letters out of multiple postboxes before handing them to her two male accomplices.

The three of them would examine every letter.
