Johor polls: PN to contest as united force after smooth seat talks, says MIPP's Punithan

JOHOR BARU: Perikatan Nasional is set to enter the Johor election as a united force, says Malaysian Indian People’s Party (MIPP) president P. Punithan.

The Perikatan deputy chairman said all component parties had a smooth seat negotiation during a meeting chaired by the coalition's election director Datuk Seri Sanusi Md Nor on Wednesday (June 24).

"We had a very smooth seat negotiation and discussion. There was no argument, no hate.

"It was very cool and we shared a lot of perspectives and we want to go to the election together.

"Our spirit is to go to the election together," he told reporters when met after the announcement of MIPP candidates on Thursday (June 25) night.

"As president, I will go down with my candidates and introduce them to the other Perikatan parties.

"We will see what are the things that we can do together for the two-week campaign period," he said.
