Heavy rain, thunderstorms expected in three states, Labuan until 3 pm


KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit Johor, Sarawak, Sabah and Labuan until 3pm on Saturday (June 19).

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), in a statement on Saturday, said the severe weather forecast involves Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru.

Similar warnings have been issued for Sarikei (Julau), Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh), Miri, and Limbang (Limbang) in Sarawak.

In Sabah, similar conditions are expected to hit the interiors (Kuala Penyu and Beaufort), the West Coast (Papar), Sandakan (Beluran) and Kudat (Pitas). – Bernama
