Thunderstorms in KL, Putrajaya and eight states until 6pm


KUALA LUMPUR: Expect thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and eight states until 6pm on Monday (April 20), the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) says.

The eight affected states are Perak (Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Bera and Rompin), Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat and Sepang), Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Seremban, Port Dickson, Jempol and Tampin), Melaka (Melaka Tengah and Jasin), Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat and Pontian) and Sarawak (Kuching and Serian).

In Sabah, the affected areas include the Interior (Kuala Penyu and Beaufort), the West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud) and Kudat (Kota Marudu). - Bernama
