Nude man disrupts traffic in George Town

GEORGE TOWN: A man in his 30s caused a traffic disruption after he was seen walking naked along Lebuh Bukit Jambul here.

George Town deputy OCPD Supt Lee Swee Sake said the incident occurred at about 10am on Thursday (April 16).

He said the man is believed to be suffering from mental illness and is receiving treatment at Penang Hospital.

“The Malaysian Red Crescent Society requested police assistance to escort an ambulance transporting the patient back to the hospital,” he said when contacted.

A 25-second video circulating online shows the man standing in the middle of the road and directing oncoming traffic.
