Man beheads college girl in broad daylight

A MAN in India beheaded a 19-year-old woman in broad daylight, Makkal Osai reported.

The victim was on the way to her college in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, at around 9am when the man slashed her before behea­ding her.

The 36-year-old suspect, who is from the same village as the victim, was said by locals to have been stalking her after she rejec­ted his advances.

Locals, upon hearing of the incident, tracked him down and found him hiding in a wheat field.Villagers then assaulted him before handing him over to the police.

The suspect was later charged with murder.

MIC vice-president T. Murugiah said among the events are family days, medical camps, blood donation drives, football and badminton tournaments and more.

The celebrations will also feature youth-oriented events to bring the younger generation into the party’s fold.
