Siti Nurhaliza involved in accident on MEX Highway


PETALING JAYA: National songstress Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza was reportedly involved in a road accident on the MEX Highway on Thursday (April 16), Astro Awani reports.

In an Instagram Story post, the singer's manager Rozi Sangdewi confirmed that the incident had occurred while Siti Nurhaliza was on her way home after a performance.

“Many people have contacted us to ask about Siti Nurhaliza. We were in two cars and had just finished a performance in Sepang, and while travelling on the MEX Highway (KM14.2), an accident occurred.

“Four cars were involved, including the car carrying Siti and me,” she said.

She added that Siti Nurhaliza has been taken to hospital for further treatment and was found to have sustained minor injuries.

Astro Awani also reported that the infomation had been shared by a social media user in a post on Threads.

“Guys, my friend saw Siti Nurhaliza by the highway. Her car is badly damaged. Hope Siti and everyone in the car are okay — I’m really worried,” the user wrote.

Some social media users also shared photos of the Kesuma singer with her assistant.

The post also suggested that Siti had just returned from an event in Sepang.

In the comments section, many Internet users offered wishes that Siti and those with her were safe.
