Nurul Izzah refutes resignation rumours, reaffirms commitment to PKR leadership

PETALING JAYA: PKR Deputy President Nurul Izzah Anwar has officially dismissed viral social media rumours claiming she has resigned from her post, calling the allegations "completely untrue."

In a media statement released on Tuesday (March 31), Nurul Izzah addressed the growing speculation regarding her position within the party hierarchy. She clarified that there have been no changes to the current leadership structure and that she remains fully committed to her role.

"I remain committed to carrying out the trust placed in me, in line with the mandate of party members and the organisation's democratic processes," she said, adding that her primary focus is currently on strengthening the party’s core agenda.

The statement comes after a wave of unverified reports circulated online suggesting a shake-up at the top of Parti Keadilan Rakyat. Nurul Izzah urged the public to remain vigilant against "malicious speculation" and advised supporters to rely solely on official party channels for authentic information.

As of now, the PKR leadership remains intact, with the Deputy President signalling a "business as usual" approach despite the digital chatter.
