Nurul Izzah denies she is stepping down as PKR deputy chief

PETALING JAYA: Nurul Izzah Anwar denies she is stepping down from her post as PKR deputy president.

According to reports, both Nurul Izzah and PKR information chief Datuk Fahmi Fadzil denied the claims, stating it was "fake news".

Speculation about the former Permatang Pauh MP's resignation began circulating on social media on Saturday (March 28).

During the PKR elections in 2025, Nurul Izzah was elected as the party's deputy president for the 2025–2028 term, defeating incumbent Datuk Seri Mohd Rafizi Ramli in a head-to-head contest.

Following the defeat, Rafizi, who was Economy Minister, resigned from his Cabinet post.
