KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir met MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong at the Parliament building, believed to be over seat allocation for the Melaka state election.
The three leaders were seen entering the Members of Parliament block at 12.20pm amid a dispute over the announcement of Barisan candidates for the Melaka polls.
Meanwhile, Ahmad Zahid, who is also Deputy Prime Minister, uploaded a photograph of himself with the two leaders on Facebook, accompanied by a brief caption suggesting a positive outcome from the meeting.
"Don't worry. All is well. Kita Geng Biru (We are the Blue Gang)," he wrote in the post on Wednesday (Oct 28).
There has been no official confirmation of the matters discussed or any decisions reached during the meeting as yet.
MCA leaders are scheduled to hold a meeting at Wisma MCA in the afternoon following the meeting.
Dr Wee and other top MCA leaders staged a walkout at the Barisan candidate announcement ceremony for the Melaka Polls in Ayer Keroh on Oct 24 after the party said they were not consulted on the seat allocation for the coalition. – Bernama
