Trio arrested over fight in Telok Panglima Garang


KUALA LANGAT: A fight along Jalan Waja in Telok Panglima Garang here has led to the arrest of three suspects.

Kuala Langat acting OCPD Dept Supt Mohd Sufian Amin said police received word of the incident from a witness who heard a commotion outside his house on Monday (March 23).

The complainant reported seeing his uncle holding a machete and surrounded by several unknown individuals who were attempting to assault him.

“However, the suspects fled the scene before the police arrived,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (March 24).

Follow-up investigations led to the arrest of three suspects, aged between 39 and 45 years old. Among those arrested was the complainant’s uncle.

"The weapons used were also seized. The fight was believed to have started due to an argument along the road.

Efforts to locate and arrest the remaining suspects are ongoing.

The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for armed rioting.

A video of the altercation has been uploaded on social media, showing an armed man fighting off three others who were brandishing wooden poles and other weapons.
