Cops quiz teen over brick thrown from 13th floor of PPR in Cheras


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have recorded a statement from a teenage boy suspected of throwing a brick from the 13th floor of a People’s Housing Project (PPR) block in Taman Desa Petaling here on Saturday (April 11).

Cheras district police chief Asst Comm Mohd Rosdi Daud said the 13-year-old, accompanied by his parents, presented himself at the police station to assist in the investigation after the incident went viral on social media.

"Preliminary investigations found that the boy is alleged to have thrown a brick and a plastic chair to the ground floor of the residential block, causing concern and anxiety among residents,” he said in a statement on Sunday (April 12).

Mohd Rosdi confirmed that no injuries were reported in the incident.

Earlier, a 30-second video went viral showing a teenage boy walking along a corridor of an apartment before throwing an object believed to be a brick towards the ground. — Bernama
