MELAKA: As families here make their final preparations for the Chinese New Year, some have another priority – seeking relief from body aches and fatigue so they can fully enjoy the festive season.
Traditional wellness practitioner Pang Pa Pan, 67, said demand for such services has risen, mainly among those preparing for long journeys to visit loved ones.
“They want to feel comfortable and in good health when they reunite their families,” he said at his centre in Taman Malim Jaya here yesterday.
Pang said his customers, mostly aged above 40, commonly experience joint discomfort, posture-related strain and general fatigue.
“Women make up the majority of those seeking wellness support, as they want to stay energised while managing hectic schedules filled with reunion dinners, house visits and festive preparations,” said Pang, who has been working late into the night due to the surge in visitors.
With more than three decades of learning and practising locally and abroad, he says his approach centres on understanding an individual’s lifestyle and physical condition.
“Knowing the root of the discomfort is important so any care given can go hand in hand with healthier daily habits,” he said.
Beyond general well-being, Pang said many viewed physical comfort as essential to enjoying the festive period, allowing them to spend meaningful, stress-free time with their families.
