Armed Forces chief pushes inter‑service synergy for future‑ready military

KUALA LUMPUR: Inter-service synergy is vital in supporting the Armed Forces’ aspirations to become a future-ready force, in line with the objectives outlined in the Armed Forces Strategic Plan, says General Datuk Malek Razak Sulaiman.

The Armed Forces chief also outlined his mandate and strategic direction as the new head of the military during a courtesy call from the Air Force chief, General Datuk Seri Muhamad Norazlan Aris, on Wednesday (Feb 11).

"The meeting marked the Air Force chief’s first official visit to the newly appointed military head."

"Both leaders exchanged views on operational readiness and on plans to further strengthen the overall capabilities of the Armed Forces, with particular emphasis on the role of the Royal Malaysian Air Force in safeguarding the nation’s airspace," the Armed Forces said in a statement.

Malek Razak also expressed his appreciation for the Air Force’s continued commitment as the lead service in the air domain.
