Road rage traffic cone thrower surrenders to police

SUBANG JAYA: The driver who threw a traffic cone at a car during a fit of road rage has surrendered himself to police.

Subang Jaya OCPD Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said that the man presented himself to police earlier today at 11am on Tuesday (Feb 10).

"He will be charged tomorrow at the Shah Alam court," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

He added that the victim of the case had also filed a police report on the incident on Feb 9.

"The complainant is a 54-year-old foreigner who recorded the incident via his dash camera.

"The argument is believed to have started because the suspect attempted to enter a Touch'N Go lane, where his vehicle almost collided with the victim's," he said.

Previously, a video of the incident had been uploaded online showing the suspect exiting his car near a toll plaza. In a fit of rage, he picked up a traffic cone and threw it onto the back of the victim's car before the victim drove off.
