No criminal elements in death of 24-year-old, say cops


PETALING JAYA: No elements of criminal activity were involved in the death of a 24-year old woman, believed to have fallen from the 17th floor balcony of a condominium in the Bandar Tun Hussein Onn area on Sunday (Feb 8), says police.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Yusof said they had received a police report on the woman’s fall at 3.06pm on Sunday and she was later confirmed to have died by first responders.

ACP Naazron said a post-mortem examination of her body confirmed that the cause of death was multiple injuries sustained as a result of falling from a height, and no elements of criminal activity had been detected in this incident.

“The case has been classified as sudden death (SDR) and any party with information regarding the incident may contact the nearest police station or contact the investigating officer, Inspector Mohd Raqib Abu Bakar, at 017-880 6636 to assist with the investigation.

“The police would also like to advise members of the public who are experiencing personal problems and require assistance to contact the Kasih Hotline at 15999 or to meet a qualified counsellor for further advice,” he said in statement posted on Facebook on Monday (Feb 9).
