First-term councillor named city’s best


AN Indian councillor serving for the first time with the Klang Royal City Council has been named the city’s best councillor, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Nyaneswaran Subramaniam, 46, appointed in 2024 for the Sentosa constituency (Zone N48C), was honoured during the council’s 2025 service awards attended by Klang Mayor Datuk Abd Hamid Hussain.

Taman Mewah Jaya committee member Thiruchelvam Duraisamy said Nyaneswaran has been an active councillor and assisted to resolve issues related to the local playground, parking and access roads.
