Woman in saree killed in freak accident

A WOMAN in India died after her saree got entangled in a rice thresher machine, Makkal Osai reported.

The victim, Chandra, 40, was working at a small rice processing plant in Thiruvannamalai when the incident happened.

Her saree got caught in the high-speed thresher machine, which is used to separate rice grains from the rest of the plant.

She was pulled into the machine before anyone could react and was severely injured. She was pronounced dead shortly after.
