Melaka CM lauds civil servants for state's progress over the last three years

MELAKA: Close to 200 key initiatives have been successfully implemented in Melaka over the past three years, reflecting significant progress across multiple strategic sectors, says Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.

The Chief Minister said the state’s development landscape had been systematically shaped through focused policies and coordinated efforts across various sectors, despite the challenges faced over the 36 months.

"I would like to record my appreciation to State Secretary Datuk Azhar Arshad, state executive councillors and their deputies, as well as the leadership of government departments and agencies, who have consistently stood firm in supporting and ensuring the success of state government policies," he said in the Chief Minister’s New Year Address 2026 in Ayer Keroh on Monday (Jan 19).

The address was themed "Year of Implementation: Indicators of Sustainability, Fulfilling the Trust, Strengthening Performance".

Ab Rauf reserved his highest appreciation for more than 38,500 state civil servants, whom he described as the backbone and driving force behind Melaka’s achievements and progress to date.

He also acknowledged the sacrifices of frontliners who remained steadfast in safeguarding the safety, well-being and security of the people and the state.

Ab Rauf further expressed appreciation to the private sector and non-governmental organisations for their continued support of the state’s development agenda and aspirations.

"Where there is commitment, there will be success, and our achievements were the result of the sweat, effort and spirit that all of you have contributed," he added.
