Two young girls killed, one injured after motorcycle crashes into tree in Jempol


JEMPOL: Two young friends were killed when their motorcycle crashed into a tree along Jalan Taman Musytari near here on Saturday (Dec 13).

District OCPD Supt Norhisham Mustapar said the victims, aged 13 and 10, were killed on the spot in the 6pm incident.

"A 13 year-old girl was riding a bike with a 10-year-old girl and another 13-year-old riding pillion.

"They were heading from Taman Mawar to Taman Musytari when the girl lost control and crashed into a tree," he said in a statement.

Supt Norhisham said the victim who survived suffered serious head injuries and broke both her legs and has been admitted at Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah.

He urged eyewitnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Muhammad Fasha Haiqal Mohd Faisal at 016-362 7746 to assist in investigations.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
