KUALA TERENGGANU: A 24-year-old man suspected of trespassing and attempting to record a video of a woman in the toilet of a shopping mall in the city has been arrested by the police after a week-long manhunt.

The suspect was apprehended during an operation conducted by a team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) around 11am on Friday (Nov 28), reported Sinar Harian.

Kuala Terengganu OCPD Asst Comm Azli Mohd Noor, stated that the arrest took place at a barber shop located on Jalan Merbau in Kampung Bukit Kecil, Setiu.

"Initial investigations revealed that the suspect admitted to entering the women's toilet with the intention of recording a video of the woman. However, he did not manage to do so because the victim splashed water on his mobile phone," he said in a statement on Friday.
