Cops hunting man suspected of recording woman in Terengganu toilet

KUALA TERENGGANU: Police are tracking down a man believed to have entered a shopping mall toilet in Kuala Terengganu and recorded a woman on Thursday (Nov 20), says Kuala Terengganu district police chief Asst Comm Azli Mohd Noor.

The salesperson at the shopping mall realised she was being recorded by someone with a mobile phone at about 6.12 pm and rushed out to find a man holding a phone outside.

"The victim, 29, managed to record the suspect's visuals from behind before he escaped," he said in a statement on Saturday (Nov 22).

ACP Azli added that the suspect is believed to be in his early 20s, has brown hair, and was wearing an Ultraman t-shirt, dark jeans and a sling bag.

CCTV footage revealed that the suspect ran away through the shopping mall's main door towards Dataran Shahbandar, he said.

ACP Azli urged those with information to contact the Kuala Terengganu district police headquarters at 09-6322222 or the nearest police station.

The case is being investigated under Section 448/509 of the Penal Code. – Bernama
