IPOH: Police have arrested two Taiwanese men and one Japanese man suspected of wrongfully confining a Chinese national at a condominium in Taman Sejati, Sitiawan.
Manjung OCPD Asst Comm Hasbullah Abd Rahman said the arrests were made on Wednesday (Aug 26) at about 12.15am after police received a complaint from the Chinese man about two hours earlier.
"The case is being investigated under Section 342 of the Penal Code and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act.
"The three men who were arrested will be remanded for four days from Aug 26 to 29," he said in a statement.
"Those with information about the incident are to come forward to the nearest police station or contact the district police station at 05-688 6222 or WhatsApp hotline at 017-682 8005," he added.
