IT’S no laughing matter to be given defaced banknotes as payment but a man, who earns a living as a clown, is taking it in his stride, Harian Metro reported.
“Sometimes, I am given damaged notes or even just petrol receipts,” said Nazri Aziz, 47, who is known by his stage name “Konda de Clown”.
Having been in the job for a decade, Nazri has weathered various challenges.
For instance, he said he had to invest in good shoes.
“The first pair I bought cost RM1,000. It was expensive as it was produced in the United States.”
He recounted that the shoe was once damaged because an overzealous child had stepped on it.
“It was quite troubling when I think about it but this is just part of the experience that I need to face,” said Nazri, who is married with four children.
> After a two-decade hiatus from the silver screen, actor Syarul Ezani is back in a movie role which required him to shed seven kilogrammes, Kosmo! reported.
He was last seen in Kami The Movie in 2007.
Syarul, 36, recently completed the filming of Akad Yang Hilang.
“During the filming of a recent TV series, Honey Trap, I weighed around 76kg, but now I’m down to 69kg,” he said.
He acknowledged that it took him some time to change his body shape.
“I reduced my carbohydrate intake, adjusted my meal times and did more cardio,” Syarul added.
His new movie, he said, was not merely a story about romance but also about family values and religious beliefs.
